Left Hand Parka

Left Hand is one of the unspoken heroes in the world of menswear, championing the idea of functional and innovative materials within their garments. This is predominantly down to the influence of Left Hand founder Massimo Osti, the very same man responsible for Stone Island and CP Company. It was at Left Hand that Osti had the opportunity to experiment with his now famous garment dying techniques and creation of fabrics inspired by military gear. In 2020 the brand changed ownership and was given a new lease of life, working under the creative direction of acclaimed contemporary designer Christopher Raeburn - someone who also takes a lot of inspiration from militaria.

The parka from this collection is the quintessential piece of gear from this brand, taking demonstration deep into the Osti archives and old Swiss military jackets. Crafted from lightweight recycled nylon and garment dyed in Italy, the crinkling of the fabric creates a sublime texture and feel. A waterproof finish supports the functionality of the garment, along with button fastening and a substantial chest pocket. Further storage space can be found on the inside of the jacket for protection from the elements. Embroidered branding on the arm is another of the many details to be found on this high-profile offering.
